Liberty Brussels Griffon Club
(AKC Licensed)

The Liberty Brussels Griffon Club, a recognized club of the American Kennel Club,
was founded in 2005. It has a small membership of fanciers residing in the Mid-
Atlantic area. Our official area is the greater Philadelphia area including Eastern
Pennsylvania, Central/South New Jersey, and Delaware. Membership to the LBGC
is acquired through the nomination by two existing members and approval by the
Membership. The LBGC is the first local Brussels Griffon Club recognized by the
AKC. Our Parent club is the American Brussels Griffon Association (ABGA), which is
an AKC Member club. Our primary objective is promoting wider knowledge and
greater appreciation of the extraordinary qualities of this breed. We currently hold
2 matches annually.

Objectives of the LBGC  are:
  1. to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Brussels
    Griffons  and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection;
  2. to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as
    approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence
    by which Brussels Griffons shall be judged;
  3. to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by
    encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows.
  4. to conduct sanctioned matches and dog shows under the rules and
    regulations of The American Kennel Club
